No response from Oracle DB for SAP PI request

$
0
0

Dear Team,

I am new to Oracle Database (11g) and working in an integration project with SAP PI system. The scenario is to send response of a SAP request.

Oracle database stores all the vendor information hosted on separate host.SAP requires information of vendor through a request and Oracle database has to send the response.I have confirmed the schema s of the request and response of SAP and seems no issue with that.

Now the issue is with the generation of the response from Oracle database.Help is required from experts on the following so that I can follow

up with DB administrator.

Note : The ping connection from SAP to Database is working with the user as DBA given proper authorization to the user to fetch the values

from the view.SAP is using select query with single value of Customer Id as primary key in every request.

1.Where to check the traces/logs in the Database for the request coming from SAP?

2.Which parameter would exactly tell the reason for the slow response for the response generation from Oracle?

3.Do we have to maintain any parameters for the request/response scenario in database?

4.Any further valuable input would be appreciated.

Regards

Rebecca

I was in two minds about where to post this - apologies if this is the wrong place.

brconnect -u / -c -f check is scheduled to run daily via DB13.

It always ends with 3 warnings.

None of these tables appear to exist.

I've looked into adding an exception into table DBDIFF but this doesn't seem to make any difference.

Log file attached.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

SAP on Oracle RAC+ASM 11g - SWPM installation Option

$

Dear Experts,

I came across SAP Note 1977393 which is describing the installation steps of a RAC installation with SWPM with an example.

However, the note is not describing the exact preparation steps to be performed on the cluster nodes.

For example, the note doesn't describe if it's required to install the Oracle Grid Infrastructure on the Cluster Nodes before using the SWPM with the RAC+ASM option.

Thanks in advance.

Dear All;

I am in the post activities of SAP system refresh.

I restored the system using brtools successfully as you can see below:

Untitled.png

then I went with the rest of the steps based on sap recomendations, and reached to SAP sql queries:

CREATE USER "OPS$<DOMAIN>\<SID>ADM" DEFAULT TABLESPACE SYSTEM TEMPORARY TABLESPACE PSAPTEMP IDENTIFIED EXTERNALLY;

CREATE USER "OPS$<DOMAIN>\SAPSERVICE<SID>" DEFAULT TABLESPACE SYSTEM TEMPORARY TABLESPACE PSAPTEMP IDENTIFIED EXTERNALLY;

GRANT CONNECT, RESOURCE, SAPDBA TO "OPS$<DOMAIN>\<SID>ADM";

GRANT CONNECT, RESOURCE, SAPDBA TO "OPS$<DOMAIN>\SAPSERVICE<SID>";

CREATE TABLE "OPS$<DOMAIN>\<SID>ADM".SAPUSER (USERID VARCHAR2(256), PASSWD VARCHAR2(256));

INSERT INTO "OPS$<DOMAIN>\<SID>ADM".SAPUSER VALUES ('SAPSR3', '<Password>');

CREATE SYNONYM "OPS$<DOMAIN>\SAPSERVICE<SID>".SAPUSER FOR "OPS$<DOMAIN>\<SID>ADM".SAPUSER;

CONNECT /

GRANT SELECT, UPDATE ON "OPS$<DOMAIN>\<SID>ADM".SAPUSER TO "OPS$<DOMAIN>\SAPSERVICE<SID>";

CONNECT /as sysdba

GRANT CONNECT, RESOURCE TO "OPS$<DOMAIN>\SAPSERVICE<SID>";

GRANT CONNECT, RESOURCE TO "OPS$<DOMAIN>\<SID>ADM";

I checked if all users are on opened state using select USERNAME,ACCOUNT_STATUS from dba_users;

Capture.PNG

The database is running file, and it is opened, but when I run R3trans -d it gives me RC 12 and i get this error:

*** ERROR => CONNECT failed with sql error '1017'

***LOG BY2=>sql error 1017   performing CON

I used brconnect -u / -f chpass -o PSAPSR3 -p sap so i can reset the password, but still I am getting the same invalid username or password error.

I checked the listener status, and it is running.

Kindly let me know how I can fix my error

Disaster Recovery planning for Java and Abap Systems

Hello experts

We are thinking to setup our productive systems SAP NW Process Orchestration 7.4 y ERP 6.0 EHP7 (Windows 2008 / Oracle 11) with disaster recovery through archive logs that are getting transferred to the standby DR server.

We know that the process  with the Java instance is not easy.  We have read that J2EE instance fails often to startup with instance ID error; another error is about System operative files, We do not know if we need copy some files and what files have to be copied to standby server.

How will the DR system be synch-ed up with primary when the primary site go up?. What are the technical requeriments to hostnames and network?

Do you have any information about disaster recovery technologies for Process orchestration ? Any process for example Oracle Dataguard is approved?

Best regards.

RMAN-06010: error while looking up datafile: 43.

coz, datafile was added newly so it may not synchronized with catalog db, or may moved/purged Datafile as well.

But for to synchronize, require catalog DB info, so where shall I find the RMAN scripts which used brbackup, also the brbackup was scheduled

by our system engineers, is there any parameter file is there for the above info ??????

Guide me for the above.

Thanks in Advance,

Hello Gurus,

We have a request from our customer to migrate from Oracle Apps(EBS) to SAP.

I tried to look for this kind of migration over the internet but couldn't find anything.

Please let me know if we have any kind of specific tool for such migration or a specific process.

Need your help.

Thanks

Sumit Prasad

BRTools Backup

Hi,

Currently I am backing up my AIX Oracle DB 11g for system refresh.

These are the steps that I have done so far,

*Few notations that I use are SSID (SourceSID) TSID (TargetSID)

I also taking backup to a shared drive, connected to AIX as CIFS connection.

     in the CIFS connection this is the pattern that I followed.

          shared_drive/Backup        ---> for backup_root_dir & stage_root_dir

          shared_drive/Redologs      ---> for archive_copy_dir & archive_stage_dir

The following steps I am doing in the Source system (which I am taking the backup from)

1) create control file (alter database backup controlfile to TRACE as '/tmp/SSID.ctrl' ; )

2) copy out control file to pc

3) rename system name to TSID , change the line:

CREATE CONTROLFILE REUSE DATABASE ‘SSID’ NORESETLOGS ARCHIVELOG;

as follow

CREATE CONTROLFILE REUSE SET DATABASE ‘TSID’ RESETLOGS ARCHIVELOG;

4) backup and replace initSID.sap in source system to use share drive as backup by changing following parameters:

backup_type = offline

backup_dev_type = disk

backup_root_dir = Create Backup Folder and provide their path like   "shared_drive/Backup"

stage_root_dir = Copy Same Path which you have given to back_root_dir

archive_copy_dir = Create Redologs Folder & Provide their path like  "shared_drive/Redologs"

archive_stage_dir = Copy Same Path which you have given to archive_copy_dir

5) use brtools to backup source database

6) backup and replace initSID.sap in target system to use share drive as restore by changing folllowing parameters:

backup_type = offline

backup_dev_type = disk

backup_root_dir = Create Backup Folder and provide their path like   "shared_drive/Backup"

stage_root_dir = Copy Same Path which you have given to back_root_dir

archive_copy_dir = Create Redologs Folder & Provide their path like  "shared_drive/Redologs"

archive_stage_dir = Copy Same Path which you have given to archive_copy_dir

So in the above steps a few questions,

In step 3 should I change the whole document from SSID to TSID? I mean to say all the files that are pointing to SSID should be changed to TSID or BRTools will take care of that?

Also the backup is going to take 3days?? So does the same steps apply if I am going to do for online backup?

ORA-1555 during db export - LOB

Hello,

I'm facing ora-1555 during database export of 10.2.0.2 database which has around 900 GB of data.

This error occurs 3 times, in these tables:

SIXMLTST

ECSCR_XSD

REPOSRC

All tables contain RAWSTRING field.

First two are really small tables which contain XML and XSD data. Around 300 and 1000 records, both sizes smaller than 1 MB.

REPOSRC has approx.  2.5 mil. records and 2.2 GB in size.

I tried to resume export twice, always with same result. Export was run with SAP system down, last time I tried it with system up, but with no change.

I also read lot of information online, yet I don't know how to proceed. Especially because of error when processing such small tables so it looks like it is not an insufficient space issue - which is often discussed.

system has oracle parameters set:

undo_management = auto

undo_retention = 0

undo_tablespace = PSAPUNDO

PSAPUNDO has 111 GB and it is empty.

This is full error message:

DbSl Trace: OCI-call 'OCILobRead' failed with rc=1555
DbSl Trace: ORA-1555 occurred when reading from a LOB
(EXP) ERROR: DbSlLobGetPiece failed  rc = 99, table "SIXMLTST"  (SQL error 1555)  error message returned by DbSl:
ORA-01555: snapshot too old: rollback segment number  with name "" too small
ORA-22924: snapshot too old
(DB) INFO: disconnected from DB

Could you help me to fix this issue?

Is it possible to continue somehow without need to run export from scratch?

Martin

I applied the note on production system : 1856270 - Performance improvements for tables with single unique index, so SDBAD table has been converted to IOT.

Now, when I execute CheckDB from DB13 I obtain :

BR0280I BRCONNECT time stamp: 2014-08-12 18.00.38

BR0301W SQL error -1400 at location rz20_info_save-11, SQL statement:

ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("SAPSR3"."SDBAD"."SYSID")

Could you help me?

Thanks.
